Walking Route
Day 1 – Departure
Depart from destinations in the U.S.
Day 2 – London Heathrow arrivals and coordination
After arriving in London and meeting at Paddington Station, we’ll board the train for a beautiful ride to Tenby, Wales, a small walled village on the coast of Wales. We’ll arrive in the evening, converse over dinner, and then get to bed early to ready ourselves for our first day walking together.
Day 3 – Tenby to Caldey Island
We’ll start the morning with an orientation and then walk through Tenby to the harbor, where we’ll take a short boat ride to Caldey Island, with it’s fascinating sixth-century monastery, Caldey Abbey, still in active use. Over the years, it has been the residence for Anglican, Benedictine, and Trappists monks. It is considered one of the most complete examples of the Arts and Crafts architectural style. We’ll walk the paths around the island, stopping along the way to visit the shops to replenish our energy with chocolate and shortbread made by the monks!

“Walking with the Core Gift Institute gave me a whole new confidence in myself and my abilities to succeed physically, socially, and mentally.” – Juanita
Day 4 – Tenby to Manorbrier
We will start our fourth day together with a walk from Tenby to the Norman village of Manorbrier. Here, we will literally start off with a long walk on the beach, and then up onto the bluffs along the ocean. It is a spectacular walk, known for its long vistas and beauty. Coming around the corner to Manorbrier, we see the ruins of our first castle at the ocean’s edge.
Day 5 – Manorbrier to Stackpole Centre
A very scenic walk along the bluffs and beaches, we stop for lunch at a remote café in a small fisherman’squayused for loading crab and lobster pots. After lunch, we walk the bluffs to the spectacular St. Govan chapel, a small stone building built into the cliffs right on the ocean. St. Govan hid in the rocks from pirates, and a chapel was built on the site in the fourteenth century. We end our day at the Stackpole Nature Preserve.
Days 6 and 7 – Stackpole
We will stay in Stackpole for two days for the in-depth learning to complete the Core Gift Master© Facilitator Training. Previous training participants have been both surprised and deeply grateful for the opportunity to bring this process back home to their work and personal lives.

“Introspection and reflection are not easily accessed without the right physical and emotional environment, and so for me the walk as well as the people I walked with were critically important to fully investing and benefiting from the process.” – Keenan
Day 8 – Stackpole to Broad Haven
We start the day with a short shuttle around the bustling city of Pembroke Dock to get ourselves back in the wilds of the coast. Walking through the farmlands of Marloes, we find the ocean path once again and walk the bluffs towards our inn, at the waters edge on Broad Haven beach.
Day 9 – Broad Haven to Druidstone
We will make our way along the coast path through Broad Haven to Druidstone, an ancient site for rituals and festivals. Along the way, we will walk beaches, hang out in little alcoves, and enjoy scenic vistas of the sea!
Day 10 – Druidstone to St. David’s
This is one of the most popular sections of The Coast Path, with good reason. We walk the long beach at Newgale and then up onto the bluff to make our way to the artsy town of Solva and then make our approach to the cathedral of St. David’s. We arrive in the afternoon, with enough time to explore the village, have our traditional All Boots In closing ceremony accompanied by a feast prepared by an internationally famous chef who owns the inn we will stay at.
Day 11 – Return to London!
Return to London (5 hours by train) for flights departing late that day or later. The pilgrimage has now concluded, and walkers schedule their own accommodations for any other days they are staying in London and beyond!
“Both the walk and the Core Gift process are spiritual experiences, and the combination of the two enhances the experience of each.” – Joy
